What Was the Sign of Jonah?

An article in English in which Sh. Ahmad Deedat refutes the Christian understanding of the following Biblical verses: "Then some of the scribes and Pharisees, hearing this, said to him, Master, we are looking for a sign from you. But he, answering, said to them, An evil and false generation is looking for a sign; and no sign will be given to it but the sign of the prophet Jonah: For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the stomach of the great fish, so will the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth." (Mathew 12: 38-40) Sh. Deedat said that the Christ wanted to tell them that his condition inside the earth would be like Jonah's in the belly of the whale so he would remain inside the earth for three days and three nights, and he would be alive as Jonah was in the inside of the whale.
